Danlei and Andy came to us with a fairly strong vision: intimate and elegant, with moody fall colors. They knew that they did not want a large, sprawling venue and disliked weddings with lots of empty space. Carondelet House allowed them to lean into that feeling of coziness with all their loved ones gathered close.
This couple gave us so much creative freedom with their wedding design - and to curate a vendor team specific to their aesthetic and taste. They gave us minimal direction, simply conveying the vibe and guest experience they had their hearts set on.
For the design, we were inspired by baroque elements, cozy and elegant fall New York venues like Bowery Hotel (with its wood beams and trademark hanging tapestry in the reception dining room), and the existing vintage prints, paintings, and murals throughout Carondelet House.
Music was especially important to the couple, so we brought in 3 sets of musicians - a harp + cello duo for the Ceremony, a pianist for Cocktail Hour and Dinner, and a DJ (who also happens to perform at one of their favorite cocktail bars in LA) to get the party started.
A whiskey tasting and cigar bar moment in the rear courtyard capped the night.
