Megan + Brandon

"Classic New York, but not boring or stuffy." That was Meg’s request as we began designing her wedding day. She described her personal style as Nancy Meyers inspired while Brandon described his as "cool as hell". 

Meg, who works in creative advertising, desired a wedding that honored traditions and the old world elegance of NYC while still feeling fun, editorial, and full of personality. Her bridal party stunned in a palette of muted jewel tones. Faye Fern Creative designed a signature custom toile print for all the signage. Despite the moody weather, wildflower bouquets and centerpieces lent vibrant, playful pops of color throughout.

Brandon, a marketing director for Major League Baseball, envisioned a dedicated "Brandon's Beer Bar" at Cocktail Hour serving his favorite Bud Light. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - and also brought with him a classic Pittsburgh wedding tradition: The Cookie Table. His mother and Pittsburgh relations baked over 2000 cookies in dozens of varieties for the showstopping display.

The couple's wedding venues were uptown NYC icons - St Patrick's Cathedral, with its architectural grandeur and the old world New York Athletic Club, overlooking Central Park. The election of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pope, coincided with their wedding — drawing an unusually large and spirited crowd of onlookers to the cathedral. On the church steps, guests were welcomed to the ceremony with Irish bagpipes. A vintage New York taxi cab and historic trolley were hired to shuttle the couple and wedding party from the cathedral to NYAC - both nods to Meg + Brandon's great love for the city. After the Reception, their Speakeasy After Party carried on into the AM - in the city that never sleeps.
